The story of actiTube starts in 1998. A doctor suggested filtering water pipe smoke with activated carbon. In the beginning, the trials were conducted with great skepticism, because a loss of active ingredients was feared, but reducing the intake of harmful substances developed a convincing motivation. After two years of experience and fine-tuning, all doubts were removed and the idea arose that all other people should also enjoy life with as few pollutants as possible.
In 2001 the company "Tune smart smoking" was founded. Many retailers were skeptical about the product. The inventors and manufacturers knew this from their own feelings during the first filtering tests. Gradually, however, the activated carbon filters made their way. In 2014, the name changed to actiTube and now the filters are even available at many gas stations.
Sustainability, fairness and attitude
The company strives to work with local partners and every actiTube product is made in Germany. This also ensures a lower CO2 impact. Meanwhile, no plastic is used in the final product. In addition, the concept of fairness applies to the company's philosophy, trade, dealings with employees, customers and partners. The producer also takes a stand on the subject of legalization. Persons of full age should be legally allowed to consume hemp. Between the ages of 18 and 22, the manufacturer recommends moderate consumption.

Bowantri has been founded for one reason only: In the eyes of the company's founder, there were no decent wooden grinders on the market. The wooden grinders available so far were rather cheaply made and had simple wooden or metal pins as grinding tools. Bowantri wanted to do better and use real wooden teeth!
In the beginning, there was the question of which wood would withstand the stress of constant grinding. The answer was an African hardwood. But how can African wood be transported to Europe in a climate-neutral way for further processing? The answer is: Upcycling!
The Merbau species is widely used in industry and can be found in fence posts, railroad tracks or wooden bridges. Due to its special hardness and high resistance to weathering, it is therefore super suitable as a material for grinders.
In addition to Smokin' Stations and ashtrays (made of wood, of course!) Bowantrie now also produces fine bong heads. Exclusively from the best FSC-certified woods. Available in Amarath, Bongossi, Olive, Padouk or Zebrano wood with Ehle precision cut. So if you already have a wooden leg or you are just interested in sustainable and thoughtful gimmicks, treat yourself to the matching wooden head!
In 1972, designer Enric Sarda developed the world's first refillable plastic lighter for the Spanish company Flamagas, which was to shake up the monotonous market of inexpensive ignition aids: The Clipper lighter!
Due to its ergonomic shape, the Clipper lighter nestles perfectly in the palm of your hand and fits perfectly into any cigarette pack due to its rounded format. It`s effective design and the use of isobutane of the clipper lighter makes it possible to ignite a flame up 3000 !!!! times. Another feature is the stable flame, which can be further increased by tilting the lighter. This is another reason why Clipper lighters are extremely popular among pipe or bong smokers. An added bonus is the removable ignition pin; originally intended only for changing the igniter, the pin is perfect as a cloth tool for your cigarette and the like.
A little over 2000 years ago, a bunch of cannabis lovers got together for a brainstorming session at 4:20 a.m. and p.m.. They wanted to launch some awesome product that would be fun, affordable, and look good too! Long haired and linen clad, the hippie dudinas and dudes sat in the conference room of a small earthen den. They smoked, laughed, chilled and spooned chocolate pudding.
One guy had it pretty bad in the back and longed for relaxation and harmony. So he tried Blubba for Blubba. From the small Dabbingbong to the Hightower he smoked his way through the existing prototypes of his tribe. In the end, he was really served! He slept like a rock for two days and his buddies thought he was almost dead. But the next morning he got up and felt like a new man. The ethereal vapors of cannabis were still permeating the entire cave when a thought popped into his head. He took his papyrus scroll and a sharpie 3000 and jotted down the following verse: GHODT - Get High or Die Trying! Somehow he had to think of his old, white-haired father.... He would surely like the products as well. After that, it took many hundreds of years until he finally managed to build an online store. Stoners are just not the fastest.
GHODT is the North German brand for bongs, grinders and many other nice things that make life more enjoyable.

Storz & Bickel
If you search the web for information on the topic of vaporizers, you will quickly find the German company Storz & Bickel. Storz & Bickel is one of the absolute pioneers of the scene and was the first certified manufacturer ever to produce medical cannabis inhalers.
But lets start at the beginning: The year is 1996, and Markus Storz, a trained printmaker, enthusiastic tinkerer and non-smoker, happens to read an article in a german Hemp-Journal about how you don't necessarily have to smoke, and thus burn, cannabis and other herbs. Inspired by the Amsterdam-based cannabis pioneer Eagle Bill, who heats the cannabis in a glass pipe with a hot air gun for vaporization, Storz enthusiastically gets to work and after some tinkering, initially develops the Vulcano, a large tabletop vaporizer in which one can inhale directly from a valve balloon filled with steam.
Since Storz is an early believer in the medicinal benefits of the cannabis plant, and THC extracts are already being used at this point to relieve pain in people suffering from multiple sclerosis, he conducts early field tests with his vaporizer on a friend who also suffers from MS. It quickly became obvious that MS sufferers sometimes had motor difficulties in operating a vaporizer. Therefore, the idea matured: First vaporize and then inhale. Storz realizes this with the help of a valve balloon. You have to have ideas!
For lack of money and tools, he had the first prototype manufactured at a vocational school in Tuttlingen, which he later thanked with a donation of new computers. Two years had passed in the meantime when Storz applied for a patent for the Vulcano in 1998.
In 2000, Storz brings his long-time buddy Jürgen Bickel, a civil engineer who has just returned from development aid in Peru, on board as an equal partner. In the same year, the Vulcano was ready for the market. From this point on, everything happend very quickly. Science begins to take an interest in the subject of vaporization in medicine and the first research is carried out. Today, 20 years later, the Vulcano is still being sold and enjoys great popularity. Of course, it has been continuously enhanced over the years. In 2014, Storz & Bickel landed the next big coup: The portable vaporizers Mighty and Crafty came onto the market and sales doubled literally overnight. And the first mobile vaporizers are so technically advanced that they hit the market like a bomb. Especially the Mighty can be found in every well-stocked vaporizer assortment today.
The fact that Storz & Bickel have done a good job is also shown by selling of their company in 2018 for a crisp 145 million euros to the Canadian company Canopy Growth, the world's largest cannabis company.
